FAR FROM HOME
In 2024, we travelled across the United States to produce a film designed to bring the Dakar closer to an American audience.
The journey took us into the worlds of Ricky Brabec, 2x Dakar motorcycle winner, and Sarah Price, alongside some of the most prominent American competitors connected to the race.
The Dakar Calling
For American racers, the Dakar holds a very particular kind of fascination. It is distant, extreme and unlike almost anything they experience at home. Crossing deserts for days, navigating unknown terrain and racing thousands of kilometres against both the clock and the elements gives the event an almost mythical status.
Through their own words, the film explored what draws these athletes towards a race so far from home — and why, once they have experienced the Dakar, it becomes so difficult to let go.
An American Perspective
Produced in co-production with Boombox, the film combined intimate interviews, character-driven storytelling and a distinctly American perspective on one of motorsport’s most iconic adventures.
More than a race film, it was a story about attraction, obsession and the need to go further.
